Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
- 3 3/4 cups powder sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup nonfat dry milk powder
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 14 ounces package of caramels
- 1 tablespoon half and half
- 2 cups chopped pecans
How To Make pecan logs

Step 1Combine powder sugar and milk powder, set aside. In heavy sauceoan combine butter, sugar, and corn syrup. Heat to boil. Add in powder sugar mixture 1/3 at a time untill all blended and dissolved. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla. Continue to stir as it cools until mixture mounds slightly when dropped by a spoon. Spread into a buttered 8" square pan. Cool.

Step 2Cut candy in four strips, Then cut each strip in half. Shape each piece into a lod, wrap in wax paper and twist ends .Freeze or refrigerate until firm.

Step 3In a heavy saucepan, melt caramels with milk, stirring often.Roll logs in caramel mixture, then in pecans. Wrap in wax paper at room temperature in airtight container. Slice with serrated knife.
