Found the basis for my fudge in a 1980's Southern Living cookbook

Ingredients

  • 1 (12) ounce package milk chocolate chips
  • 2 (12) ounces packages semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (7) ounce jar marshmellow creme
  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 (13) ounce can evaporated milk
  • 3-4 cups chopped pecans

How To Make pecan fudge

  • Step 1
    Combine chocolate chips, marshmellow creme, and butter in a large bowl
  • Step 2
    Combine sugar and evaporated milk in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and cook over med-low heat for 9 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Step 3
    Pour over chocolate mixture, stir until melted and smooth. Add pecans, stir until well blended
  • Step 4
    Spread into a prepared pan and chill until firm. Cut into squares and serve Store in a lidded container in refridgerator
