Ingredients

1 c
sugar
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 tsp
margarine
1/2 c
roasted, salted peanuts
1 tsp
baking soda
1/2 c
white corn syrup

Step-By-Step

1In a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish, stir together sugar and syrup. Microwave on high for 4 minutes.
2Stir in peanuts. Microwave on high for 3 to 5 minutes or until light brown.
3Add baking soda and gently stir until light and foamy. Pour mixture onto a lightly buttered cookie sheet or unbuttered nonstick coated cookie sheet.
4Let cool for 1/2 to 1 hour. When cool, break into small pieces and store in a airtight container.
