peanut butter balls
(3 RATINGS)
I can't remember where I got this recipe. I have had it for about 40 years though and it is tried and true. My neices and nephews and sons go nuts over these. Not really hard to make. Just takes a little while because of making so many pieces.

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter softened
- 1 quart peanut butter, creamy or crunchy
- 3 pounds confectioners' sugar ( approx.)
- 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 packages chocolate bark candy coating, melted
How To Make peanut butter balls
-
Step 1Mix together butter and peanut butter. Add vanilla and sugar. Mix well. Batter should be thick enough to hold its shape.
-
Step 2Make into balls about 1 inch. Put in refrigerator until you are ready to dip in chocolate. Melt chocolate 6 squares at a time so it won't get hard on you while you are dipping. I find a small deep bowl works for me to melt the chocolate in. Then they are easier to dip. Go by directions on package for melting the chocolate.
-
Step 3Dip the peanut butter balls in the chocolate and place on a waxed paper lined cookie sheet. Place in refrgerator to set. Store covered in refrigerator or a real cool place.
