Here's another old fashioned recipe I grew up on, that I forgot about over the years. My aunt and Uncle used to make these for us when we were children and they are so easy to make, they melt in your mouth and they're so good it's a must try. these candies are fast and easy to make hope you enjoy

Ingredients For old fashioned potato candy

  • 1
    russet potato, peeled and sliced
  • 6 to 8 cup
    powdered sugar
  • 2/3 cup
    nutella or peanut butter

How To Make old fashioned potato candy

    Put potato in a pot covered with water and cook it on medium-high heat till completely soft. Drain and place in large bowl.

    Use a hand mixer and beat the potato until it is lump free.

    Add 4 cups of powder suger, beat untill mixed well
  • 4
    Continue to mix powder suger in 1 cup at a time, untill thick, it should have the consistency cookie dough

    Place on a large piece of wax paper sprinkled with powdered sugar, and sprinkle powdered sugar on top also.

    Roll potato mixture out to 1/4 inch rectangle.

    Spread with Nutella or peanut butter.

    Starting on long side Roll up tightly like you would cinnamon rolls. Wrap in wax paper and cut in half, then put in zip lock bag.

    Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or until ready to serve. Remove from wax paper and cut into 3/4 inch slices.
