These are reminiscent of that fabulous candy bar! I got this recipe from a co-worker MANY years ago, and it is requested at every family Christmas gathering! I hope you enjoy these as much as we do.

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces milk chocolate chips
  • 6 ounces butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons cook 'n serve vanilla pudding mix (not instant)
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon maple flavoring
  • 1 cup salted peanuts

How To Make nut goodie bars

  • Step 1
    Melt together chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and peanut butter. Spread one-half of this mixture into a lightly greased 9" x 13" pan. Refrigerate until firm.
  • Step 2
    Mix together butter, milk, and vanilla pudding mix. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add powdered sugar and maple flavoring and beat until smooth. Spread over chocolate layer which has been in refrigerator.
  • Step 3
    Add the salted peanuts to the remaining chocolate mixture. Spread over the top of the bars. Keep refrigerated.
