These are reminiscent of that fabulous candy bar! I got this recipe from a co-worker MANY years ago, and it is requested at every family Christmas gathering! I hope you enjoy these as much as we do.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz
    milk chocolate chips
  • 6 oz
    butterscotch chips
  • 1 c
    creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 c
    melted butter
  • 1/4 c
    milk
  • 2 Tbsp
    cook 'n serve vanilla pudding mix (not instant)
  • 3 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    maple flavoring
  • 1 c
    salted peanuts

How to Make Nut Goodie Bars

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt together chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and peanut butter. Spread one-half of this mixture into a lightly greased 9" x 13" pan. Refrigerate until firm.
  2. Mix together butter, milk, and vanilla pudding mix. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add powdered sugar and maple flavoring and beat until smooth. Spread over chocolate layer which has been in refrigerator.
  3. Add the salted peanuts to the remaining chocolate mixture. Spread over the top of the bars. Keep refrigerated.
