Ingredients
- 1/3 cup light karo syrup
- 1/4 cup softened butter
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 pound sifted powdered sugar (a full box)
- - red and green food coloring
How To Make no-cook butter mint patties
-
Step 1Blend corn syrup, butter, extract, & salt. Combine well until smooth and creamy texture.
-
Step 2Add powdered sugar; mix or knead until smooth.
-
Step 3Divide into thirds. Knead food coloring into two of the mounds, leaving the third one white (I have actually used yellow in the third one, cuz I didn't like the 'bland' white...)
-
Step 4Shape into small 1/2" balls. Flatten on waxed paper with a fork that has been dipped into powdered sugar.
-
Step 5Let the candies dry. Makes approximately 72 patties.
