Mom liked this recipe for fudge. Its easy and never fails. We had it every year at Christmas time when I was growing up. It was a real treat.

  • 2/3 c
    carnation evaporated milk
  • 1 2/3 c
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 1/2 c
    mini marshmallows
  • 1 1/2 c
    chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c
    chopped walnuts, optional

How to Make Mom's Christmas Fudge


  1. Place milk, sugar, and salt in medium saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat. Add remaining ingredients and continue stirring until marshmallows and chocolate are melted and mixture is well combined.
  2. Pour into a buttered 9 by 9 inch pan. Cut in squares when cooled a bit, but still warm. Do not remove from pan until completely cooled. Then cut again on same lines and enjoy!
