Mom liked this recipe for fudge. Its easy and never fails. We had it every year at Christmas time when I was growing up. It was a real treat.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup carnation evaporated milk
  • 1 2/3 cups sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, optional

How To Make mom's christmas fudge

  • Step 1
    Place milk, sugar, and salt in medium saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add remaining ingredients and continue stirring until marshmallows and chocolate are melted and mixture is well combined.
  • Step 2
    Pour into a buttered 9 by 9 inch pan. Cut in squares when cooled a bit, but still warm. Do not remove from pan until completely cooled. Then cut again on same lines and enjoy!
