My Mother loved to cook and bake - anything and everything. I can remember her pulling out pots and pans in the evening after the kitchen had been all cleaned up from dinner and cook up a batch of fudge for her kids. She had a large heavy serving dish like you would use when putting a roast or baked chicken on the table for dinner and she would generously grease it with butter and leave it sitting in the middle of the table to pour the finished fudge on to.

Ingredients For mom casey's super fudge

  • 4 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/3 c
    evaporated canned milk (1 can)
  • 2 Tbsp
    white corn syrup
  • 1/2 c
    butter or oleo (1 cube)
  • 4
    squares cooking chocolate
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 pkg
    german chocolate pieces
  • 1 pkg
    miniature marshmallows (10 oz to 1 lb)
  • 1 1/2 c
    chopped nuts (if desired)

How To Make mom casey's super fudge

    Cook sugar, milk, corn syrup, butter, and 4 squares of cooking chocolate to soft ball stage. Remove from heat and add:

    Vanilla, German Chocolate, Marshmallows and nuts. Mix well. Pour into well buttered pan.

    Cool!! Cut!! Eat!!! (This is what my Mom wrote at the end of her handwritten recipe)
