My Mother loved to cook and bake - anything and everything. I can remember her pulling out pots and pans in the evening after the kitchen had been all cleaned up from dinner and cook up a batch of fudge for her kids. She had a large heavy serving dish like you would use when putting a roast or baked chicken on the table for dinner and she would generously grease it with butter and leave it sitting in the middle of the table to pour the finished fudge on to.

Ingredients
- 4 cups sugar
- 1 1/3 cups evaporated canned milk (1 can)
- 2 tablespoons white corn syrup
- 1/2 cup butter or oleo (1 cube)
- 4 - squares cooking chocolate
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 package german chocolate pieces
- 1 package miniature marshmallows (10 oz to 1 lb)
- 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts (if desired)

Step 1Cook sugar, milk, corn syrup, butter, and 4 squares of cooking chocolate to soft ball stage. Remove from heat and add:

Step 2Vanilla, German Chocolate, Marshmallows and nuts. Mix well. Pour into well buttered pan.

Step 3Cool!! Cut!! Eat!!! (This is what my Mom wrote at the end of her handwritten recipe)
