My sister sent this to me, she said it tastes just like our grandmother's recipe. I thought she was joking. Turns out it makes darn decent peanut brittle, though not as good as our grandmother's. And, in honor of my grandmother, I'll post her original recipe next.

Ingredients
- 1 - cup sugar
- 1/2 - cup light corn syrup
- 1-1/2 - cups dry roasted peanuts
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

Step 1MICROWAVE sugar and corn syrup in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH for 5 min., stirring after 3 min.

Step 2Stir in peanuts. Microwave an additional 3-5 min. or until golden brown.

Step 3ADD butter and vanilla; stir until butter is completely melted. Microwave 1 min.

Step 4Stir in baking soda (mixture will foam).

Step 5SPREAD mixture onto greased baking sheet or silicone sheet. Cool completely. Break into pieces.
