Ingredients

1 c
milk
2 1/2 c
sugar
2 Tbsp
light corn syrup
1 tsp
vanilla extract
2
unsweetened chocolate squares
1/4 tsp
salt
2 Tbsp
butter
12
marshmallows

How to Make Marshmallow Fudge

Step-by-Step

  • 1Heat milk and chocolate together in heavy saucepan over low heat until chocolate is melted.
  • 2Add sugar, salt and corn syrup.
  • 3Cook, stirring until boiling starts.
  • 4Cover and boil 3 minutes to wash down sugar crystals from pan sides.
  • 5Uncover.
  • 6Cook without stirring until thermometer reaches 232 degrees.
  • 7Remove from heat and cool without stirring to lukewarm.
  • 8Add vanilla and beat until fudge thickens and looses its gloss.
  • 9Cut each marshmallow into 8 pieces and stir into fudge.
  • 10Turn into greased pan.
  • 11Cut into squares when firm.
