I love this recipe! I prefer this over traditional fudge. This also is good without the nuts. My mother is allergic to nuts so I didn't really start using nuts in recipes until I moved out as an adult:)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup grade 1 maple syrup
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1/2 cup cream (or a 5oz can evaporated milk)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (use black walnuts if u can find them)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make maple fudge

  • Step 1
    Stirring constantly, boil syrup, sugar, cream, salt, and butter to 238 degrees F. Remove from heat. Add nuts and vanilla. Beat until ready to pour into a buttered 8x8 pan. Cool completely (I leave it overnight). Cut into squares.
