My second oldest asked for this for his birthday after I recently served the Lavender Tapioca Ice Cream to my mom for her birthday.

I do like this, (even when it isn't anyone's birthday)!

Ingredients

  • 3 c
    heavy cream
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp
    almond extract
  • 4 Tbsp
    quick cooking tapioca
  • 1/2 c
    dark brown sugar
  • 1 pinch
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 c
    m&ms (used fall colors this time)
  • 1/4 c
    english toffee pieces

How to Make M&M and English Toffee Tapioca Ice Cream

Step-by-Step

  1. In a saucepan, put all the ingredients save the M&Ms and toffee.
  2. Bring to a rolling boiling, whisking all the way.
  3. Pour into a freezer safe bowl. Wait 45 minutes before adding the candy pieces.
  4. Then stir every 30 minutes for 3-5 hours. Serve delightfully.
