kaye's candy
Kaye is my Sister - a wonderful cook. She made this candy 30 years ago. It was a favorite for Christmas. I am making a custom Valentine Box Cake, with this as the candy. The "box" is a heart shaped red velvet cake covered with buttercream & topped with fondant. The candy sits on top.

Ingredients
- 2 cups roasted pecans
- 1/2 pound sweet flaked coconut
- 4 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
- CHOCOLATE COVERING
- 10 ounces pure chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
- 1/2 - cake of parrifin wax
- - melt chocolate with wax
How To Make kaye's candy

Step 1Roast the pecans at 170 for 10 minutes. (roasting brings out the natural oil). let them cool

Step 2Add all ingredients to Food Processor & pulse until mixed. Don't overwork.

Step 3Form into balls. Chill while you melt the chocolate.

Step 4Either dip the candy or pour and let dry on waxed paper.
