This was our first year to make peppermint bark. Usually we buy it from William-Sonoma but thanks to the recession we decided to take the ingredients we already had and make our own! It was a huge success and one that will be repeated from now on! We chose to use a vanilla bean white chocolate and that added another layer of flavor. I'm not a chocolate or peppermint fan but I loved this a lot!! ENJOY!

How to Make Jones Family Peppermint Bark

Step-by-Step

  1. Line small pan with Release Foil.
  2. Place two candy canes inside plastic bag and gently crush with rolling pin. Leaving bits here and there, you don't want peppermint dust.
  3. In double boiler melt semi-sweet chocolate chips and 2/3 gulf wax bar. Pour into prepared pan and set in fridge for a few minutes.
  4. Repeat step 2 for white chocolate chips and 1/3 gulf wax bar. Remove pan from fridge and pour on top of semi-sweet chocolate.
  5. Top with crushed peppermint and let set in fridge till it's harden. Break or cut into pieces. Serve and enjoy!
