    powdered sugar
  • 12 oz
    sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 lb
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 bottle
    pepermint extract

How to Make HOME MADE PEPERMINT PATTIES

Step-by-Step

  1. POUR THE POWDERED SUGAR INTO A HUGE BOWL ADD ABOUT HALF OF THE BOTTLE OF THE MINT EXTRACT IT SOUNDS LIKE ALOT BUT YOUR MAKING ALOT OF CANDIES ADD ONE CAN OF THE SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK TO START WORK IN INTO THE SUGAR MINT MIXTURE ADD MORE A BIT AT A TIME TILL IT FORMS A VERY STIFF DOUGH LIKE BREAD YOU CAN THEN ROLL IT INTO BALLS OR OUT INTO SHEETS AND CUT WITH COOKIE CUTTERS PUT IT IN THE FREEZER FOR ABOUT A HALF HR MELT YOUR CHOCOLATE IN A DOUBLE BOILER (GLASS BOWL OVER HOT NOT BOILING WATER ABOUT 1/2 IN FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE BOWL SO IT WONT BURN) DIP YOUR MINTS IN THE CHOCOLATE QUICKLY SO IT WONT MELT THE SUGAR PUT IN THE FRIDGE TO SET UP A GOOD THING FOR EASTER BASKETS
