Ingredients

  • 4 qt
    popcorn, popped
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp
    white vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 8-10
    drops green food coloring

How to Make Green Popcorn

Step-by-Step

  1. Place popcorn in a large roasting pan; keep warm in a 250 oven.
  2. Meanwhile in a large saucepan, combine sugars, water, corn syrup, vinegar and salt. Cook and stir over med. heat until mixture comes to a boil.
  3. Cook, stirring occasionally, until a candy thermometer reads 250 ( hard ball stage)
  4. Remove from heat; stir in butter 'til melted. Stir in food coloring.
  5. Drizzle over warm popcorn and toss to coat. Cool. Break into pieces. Store in an airtight container.
