ginger krinkles
I got this recipe from my mother. I love soft molasses/ginger cookies and these are the best I've tasted yet! Please note that the serving size says "makes 48, supposedly" That is probably true if you stick with the 1-inch balls of dough, but I prefer a cookie that is a bit bigger.

Ingredients
- MIX:
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- ADD:
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup shortening or cooking oil
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 - egg
How To Make ginger krinkles

Step 1In small bowl, stir together the first five ingredients and salt; set aside. In large bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and beat well. Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture, beating well. Form 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 10-13 minutes.
