2 c
uncooked oats
1/2 c
firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c
butter
1/2 c
semisweet chocolate morsels
1/4 c
peanuts, chopped

How to Make Frosted Toffee Bars

Step-by-Step

  • 1Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2Lightly grease 9" square baking pan.
  • 3In large bowl, combine oats, brown sugar and butter; mix well. Spread into prepared pan.
  • 4Bake 13 minutes or until light golden brown; cool on wire rack.
  • 5In small saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate pieces.
  • 6Spread over baked oat mixture; sprinkle with peanuts.
  • 7Chill 4 hours or until chocolate is set and then cut into 2x1 1/2" bars.
  • 8Store tightly covered in refrigerator--makes about 28 bars.
