My mom loved chocolate covered cherries, so one year for Mother's Day I made the cherry version and she LOVED it. I used maraschino cherries and added a table spoon of the juice during the melting time on the stove. Hope you like it and let me know what you think.

  • ·
    3 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
  • ·
    1 14 oz can sweet condensed milk
  • ·
    dash of salt
  • ·
    1 1/2 ts of vanilla
  • ·
    1/2 cup to 1 cup of crasins, cherries, or crushed peppermint candies

How to Make Festive Fudge


  1. In a sauce pan melt th chocolate chips and slowly add the milk stirring the whole time.
  2. Add salt and vanilla
  3. Remove from heat and add the fruit or candy
  4. Spread into a wax paper lined 8 or 9 inch pan
  5. Chill until firm
