Festive Fudge

My mom loved chocolate covered cherries, so one year for Mother's Day I made the cherry version and she LOVED it. I used maraschino cherries and added a table spoon of the juice during the melting time on the stove. Hope you like it and let me know what you think.

3 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
1 14 oz can sweet condensed milk
dash of salt
1 1/2 ts of vanilla
1/2 cup to 1 cup of crasins, cherries, or crushed peppermint candies


1In a sauce pan melt th chocolate chips and slowly add the milk stirring the whole time.
2Add salt and vanilla
3Remove from heat and add the fruit or candy
4Spread into a wax paper lined 8 or 9 inch pan
5Chill until firm
