This is the original Fantasy Fudge recipe that was on the side of the Cocoa Mix. For those that do not like microwave cooking this can be done just as easily in a double boiler.

  • 3/4 c
    butter
  • 3 c
    sugar
  • 2/3 c
    evaporated milk
  • 1 pkg
    baking chocolate, semi-sweet
  • 7 oz
    marshmallow cream
  • 1 c
    nuts, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How to Make Fantasy Fudge

Step-by-Step

  1. MICROWAVE: In 4 quart, microwave-safe bowl, microwave butter on high (full-power) 1 minute or until melted.
  2. Add sugar and milk, mix well.
  3. Microwave on high 5 minutes or until it begins to boil, stirring after 3 minutes.
  4. Mix well, scrape bowl.
  5. Continue microwaving 5-1/2 minutes.
  6. Stir after 3 minutes.
  7. Stir in chips until melted.
  8. Add remaining ingredients, mix well.
  9. Pour into greased 9 inch square pan or 13x9 inch baking pan.
  10. Cool at room temperature.
  11. Cut into squares.
  12. Makes 3 pounds.
