easy chocolate truffles
(1 RATING)
My mom found this recipe in a magazine years ago and it has stuck with us ever since! These truffles are now a staple at any family gathering and my brother-in-law asks for them every birthday! So yummy and ridiculously easy!

Ingredients
- 12 ounces bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 14 ounces can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
How To Make easy chocolate truffles
-
Step 1Place chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in a heat-safe bowl over simmering water (or a double boiler if you have one). Melt, stirring often.
-
Step 2When the chocolate mixture is melted, remove from heat and stir in 1 tsp. vanilla.
-
Step 3Chill in fridge 1-2 hours or until mixture is firm enough to roll into balls.
-
Step 4Roll tablespoon sized truffles(I like to use a melon-ball scoop for convenience). If you use your hands to roll the balls, it works better to wet your hands slightly.
-
Step 5Roll each ball in desired topping. I've used powdered sugar, sprinkles, cocoa powder, melted white chocolate, nuts, etc.
-
Step 6Refrigerate and enjoy!
