My son's favorite holiday yummy

Ingredients

  • 18 ounces semisweet chocolate
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons orange extract (or whatever flavor you like)
  • - cocoa, powdered sugar, chopped nuts and/or coconut to roll in.

How To Make easy chocolate truffles

  • Step 1
    Melt chocolate in the microwave on high for 60 seconds. Stir and continue to cook on high for another 60 seconds & repeat until chocolate is completely melted.
  • Step 2
    Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and continue beating until well blended.
  • Step 3
    Stir in chocolate and extract flavoring.
  • Step 4
    Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm.
  • Step 5
    Shape into 1 inch balls.
  • Step 6
    Roll into cocoa, powdered sugar, nuts, coconut or dip into melted chocolate.
  • Step 7
    Store in refrigerator.
  • Step 8
    option: Use white chocolate in place of semi-sweet chips and follow same directions.
