These are so yummy w/ a cup of hot cocoa. Great for Christmas.

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    flour
  • 1 c
    baking cocoa
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 stick
    unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 c
    packed dark brown sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 c
    semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 c
    coarsely chopped cany canes

How to Make Easy chocolate-peppermint bars

Step-by-Step

  1. Put oven rack in middles of oven. Heat to 375. Spray a 9" x 13" baking pan w/ cooking spray.
  2. In bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder and baking soda. In another bowl, beat together butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg. Mix in flour mix until combined.
  3. Stir in chocolate chips and crushed candy canes. Spread dough evenly into pan. Bake 20 mins, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
