Truffles are expencive in money and time ... right? NOPE!

Ingredients

  • 1 can frosting - any kind or flavor!
  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 1 - bag chocolate chips (semi sweet or bitter sweet would be best due to the richness of the frosting)
  • 1 cup or so of heavy cream

How To Make easy as pie-- truffles

  • Step 1
    Mix frosting and powdered sugar in a med. mixing bowl untill stiff enough to roll
  • Step 2
    Roll frosting mixture into 1 - 1 1/2 inch balls set on wax paper in a cool place
  • Step 3
    in a microwave safe dish add heavy cream and 1/4 cup chips at about 40 sec intervals, stir each adition until glossy and slightly thick
  • Step 4
    slightly cool ganach and dip truffle fillers in one at a time or add them all and toss lightly! Remove quikly and chill for 30 min or untill ganch is set firmly... Also for a thicker coating, chill then re-dip and re-chill! ( or you can roll the fillers in cocoa powder- hot cocoa mix- even more powdered sugar, use your food procrsser to crush peppermint candys and roll white chocolate fillers in the crushed candy for the hollidays!) X-treamly versital!!!!!!!!!
