1 cpecans, chopped
3/4 cbrown sugar, light, packed
1/2 cbutter or margarine
1/2 cchocolate morsels, semi-sweet
How to Make Drema's "Quick Toffee"
- Butter a glass baking dish - approximately 9x9x2.
Spread pecans in pan. Set aside.
Heat sugar and butter in small sauce pan until comes to a boil, stirring constantly. (Preferably a double boiler).
Boil for 7 minutes. Immediately spread mixture over pecans.
Sprinkle chocolate morsels over this hot mixture.
Cover immediately so heat will melt chocolate.
Spread melted chocolate over candies.
While still warm, score and cut candies into 1 1/2" pieces. Chill until firm.
