This candy will satisfy any sweet tooth. Your friends will never guess it takes less than 30 minutes to make. This recipe is adapted from Velvety Pecan Candy in 1001 Ways to Cook Southern.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups pecans, coarsly chopped
  • 1 1/2 pounds vanilla almond bark, coarsly chopped
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

How To Make divine pecan candy

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Step 2
    Spread chopped pecans on cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until toasted.
  • Step 3
    Line a 15x10 inch jelly roll pan with wax paper; lightly spray with Pam or Bakers Joy
  • Step 4
    Microwave candy coating, condensed milk and salt together in microwave safe bowl at high for 2-4 minutes. Stir at one minute intervals until melted and smooth.
  • Step 5
    Stir in vanilla, almond and pecans; spread in an even layer on prepared pan.
  • Step 6
    Cover with wax paper and chill until set - about 1-1/2 hours.
  • Step 7
    Turn candy out onto cutting board and cut into squares. Cover and store at room temp.
