I got this recipe from a friend. She makes it for our church bazaar and its always a hit. Try it with root beer or doctor pepper, too.

I'm sorry the picture looks green when posted. The color of these is actually cream color.

Ingredients

  • ·
    candy bites:
  • 3 1/2 c
    finely crushed vanilla wafer crumbs
  • 2 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1 c
    finely chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c
    cola soft drink
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • ·
    cola frosting:
  • 3/4 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1/3 c
    cola soft drink
  • 1/4 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/4 tsp
    vanilla

How to Make Cola Candy Bites

Step-by-Step

  1. Stir together wafer crumbs, 2 cups powdered sugar, chopped pecans, 1/2 cup cola, and 2 tablespoons butter. Shape mixture into 1 inch balls. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour.
  2. Meanwhile make frosting. Stir together 3/4 cup powdered sugar, 1/3 cup cola, 1/4 cup butter, and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla.
  3. When cola balls are firm remove from frig and dip each one in frosting. Place on waxed paper covered cookie sheet and allow frosting to set up before serving.
