chocolate covered bacon
Okay so I gave into the craze and made these (I had the recipe emailed to me), the pic is courtesy of the internet (couldn't get a good pic myself =(. I think they look a little more appetizing on skewers and with a little added nut crunch and/or complimenting chocolate drizzle. Full of crazy sweet and salty flavors, this new craze takes flavor to a whole new level!

Ingredients
- 12 slices of bacon
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate
- 1 cup white chocolate
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- - crushed pecans (optional)
- - 12 wooden skewers
How To Make chocolate covered bacon

Step 1Pierce each piece of bacon onto the skewer.

Step 2Bake for 20-25 minutes in a preheated 400 degree oven until bacon is crisp.

Step 3Melt semi sweet chocolate in one bowl with 1 Tbsp. of shortening and melt in another bowl the white chocolate with 1 Tbsp. of shortening.

Step 4Brush the melted milk chocolate on the bacon until coated. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Lay across the baking pan. Do this for 6 of the strips of bacon. Then repeat with the other 6 strips and except coating with melted white chocolate.

Step 5Place into the refrigerator until chocolate is hard.
