Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups nuts, finely chopped
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 3 - unsweetened chocolate squares
- 1 cup cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
How To Make chocolate caramels

Step 1Cut chocolate in small pieces.

Step 2Add sugar, butter, salt, syrup and cream.

Step 3Cover and boil 5 minutes.

Step 4Uncover.

Step 5Boil slowly, stirring constantly, to firm ball stage 248.

Step 6Remove from fire.

Step 7Add flavoring and stir until well blended.

Step 8Pour quickly over nuts which have been placed in well-buttered pan.

Step 9When cool cut in squares.
