Ingredients
- 12 cups popcorn, popped
- 3 cups pecans, halved
- 1 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
How To Make caramel-nut corn

Step 1Divide popcorn and nuts between 2 ungreased rectangular pans, 13x9x2 inches.

Step 2Cook brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until bubbly around edges.

Step 3Continue cooking 5 minutes; remove from heat.

Step 4Stir in baking soda until foamy.

Step 5Pour over popcorn and nuts, stirring until corn is well coated.

Step 6Bake uncovered in 200 degree oven, stirring every 15 minutes, 1 hour.

Step 7SUBSTITUTIONS: May use walnut halves or blanched whole almonds in place of pecans.
