This recipe comes from a 1968 recipe book titled,"Favorite Recipes From Church of GOD Ladies". Each of the recipes has the ladies' name and home town and I will include this with the recipe and if you know or are related to this person, I would really like to know. The recipes I post from this cookbook are ones I have tried and really like or are unusual due to ingredients or possibly due to the number of recipes with the same name but are different in some way. I hope you enjoy. I know some the recipes are really lacking in some or all areas, but I am posting them as they are in the cookbook

Ingredients For butterscotch yule log

16 ounce pkg. butterscotch morsels

1/3 csweetened condensed milk

1/2 tspvanilla
-
1/2 cchopped pecans

1slightly beaten egg white
-
pecan halves
How To Make butterscotch yule log

1Melt butterscotch morsels over boiling water.

2Remove from heat; stir in condensed milk and vanilla.

3Add chopped pecans; mix well.

4Chill until firm enough to handle.

5Form into 12-inch roll on waxed paper; roll tightly in waxed paper to shape evenly.

6Unroll; mark surface lengthwise with tines of fork.

7Brush with egg white.

8Press pecan halves into roll to completely cover surface.

9Wrap in waxed paper; chill.
