I didn't want to use the corn candy recipe. I think this is closer to the real deal. When I make them next time I will provide a photo. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 16 ounces milk or semi-sweet chocolate, melted

How To Make butterfinger bars

  • Step 1
    Combine the corn syrup, sugar, and water in saucepan. Heat to 310F on a candy thermometer, or hard crack stage. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter until blended.
  • Step 2
    Pour onto a greased cookie sheet and score with a knife into desired sizes. When cool, dip in melted chocolate to coat.
