butter pecan toffee crunch
Our community is having our annual garage sale and I always make baked goods, candy, and kettle corn, along with kitchen items,I haven't used in a year...etc..people are always waiting for the baked goods and I have people waiting for the sale to start..yea! This is my toffee recipe.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup roughly chopped pecans
- 3/4 cup shredded sweetened coconut
- 3/4 cup chocolate chex,do not crush ( or other cereal)
- 1/2 cup margarine or butter, no shortening
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon light corn syrup (karo brand)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
How To Make butter pecan toffee crunch

Step 1Combine pecans ,coconut, and chex; spread in a thin layer over bottom of foil lined and buttered or sprayed 13x9-inch pan.

Step 2In a saucepan, melt butter, then blend in remaining ingredients. Cook, without stirring until mixture reaches 290^ on candy therometer..do not let it reach 300^.

Step 3Remove from heat and spoon or pour in a thin stream ,evenly over pecans, coconut and cereal. Cool in fridge for 10 minutes; when set lift out of pan and break into pieces. Store in air-tight container or zip-loc baggies.
