Ingredients

2 cpacked brown sugar (light)

1 csugar
-
1/8 tspsalt
-
2/3 cmilk
-
2 Tbsplight corn syrup
-
2 Tbspbutter(not margarine)

1/2 cflaked coconut

1/2 cground walnuts
How to Make Brown Sugar Fudge
- In a heavy saucepan, add sugars and salt. Stir in milk and corn syrup. Boil, stirring constantly. continue to boil without stirring until candy thermometer reads 234^-240^ (soft ball stage)
- Remove from heat add butter(do not stir) cool to 110^-115^ without stirring. When it reaches that temperature, beat vigorously with a wooden spoon until mixture thickens and begins to lose it's gloss (about 5 minutes)
- Stir in coconuts and ground walnuts. Mix well. Pour fudge into a buttered 8"x 8" square pan. Cool to room temperature. Cut into squares.
