brent's chocolate coconut candies
My youngest son, Brent, loves coconut. I adapted a cookie dough recipe and came up with this recipe for him. Hope you enjoy it as much as he does.

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 3/4 cups flaked coconut
- 1 cup chopped almonds
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons shortening
How To Make brent's chocolate coconut candies

Step 1In a large bowl, combine the powdered sugar, coconut, almonds and milk. Shape into 1 inch balls and regrigerate until firm. Approximatelly 20 minutes.

Step 2In a microwave, melt the chips and shortening on high for about 1 minute; sitr. Microwave at additional 10 to 20 seconds until smooth.

Step 3dip balls in the melted chocolate; allow the excess to drip off and place on waxed paper. Let stand until set and store in an airtight container.

Step 4Tipp: You can also use chocolate or white bark if you want to. I have used both.
