When my sister Becky started candy making this recipe was passed to her by my granny. I miss my granny, but whenever I make her recipes, she's there to guide me.
The cookbook credits my Aunt Louise Webb, one of the best cooks I know.
How to Make Blameless Candy
- Mix Karo syrup and sugar in saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and add peanut butter, stirring until peanut butter is melted.
- Add corn flakes, 1 cup at a time.
- Butter palms of hands and roll spoonful of mixture into a ball. Buttering hands occasionally helps keep mixture from sticking.
