Ingredients

  • 1 package light cocoa candy melts® candy
  • ALTERNATIVES
  • 1 package chocolate chips
  • TOOLS
  • - baking cups, standard (1cup per serving)
  • - angled spatula or decorator brush
  • - cookie sheet

How To Make baking cup shells

  • Step 1
Heat melts in microwave or double boiler as directed on package.
  • Step 2
Hold standard baking cup in your hand. Use an angled spatula or Decorator Brush to coat inside of cup with melted Candy Melts®. Coat cup thick enough so that no paper can be seen.
  • Step 3
Refrigerate candy on cookie sheet until firm. If you need a more upright cup shape, place the baking cup in a muffin pan for added support, then coat and chill in pan.
  • Step 4
Unmold by carefully peeling off baking cup. Now cup is ready to be filled with your choice of filling (candy, dipped fruit, sherbet, ice cream, pudding, peanuts).
  • Step 5
** NOTE ** Another alternative for a different look is to use a Brioche Pan. Follow the same instructions but without baking cups. When chilled thoroughly, the shell can just be lifted out of the pan ready for your favorite filling.
