Ingredients
- 1 cup dried apricots, chopped
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup almonds, chopped
- 1/3 cup candied orange peel
- powdered sugar
- whipped cream
- cinnamon
How To Make apricot treat, mark's

Step 1Put the apricots and water in a heavy based pan. Cover and simmer, stirring for about 20 minutes, until a thick paste forms Stir in the sugar and simmer stirring for another 10 minutes until quite dry. Remove from heat and stir in the almonds and the orange peel Using a knife, shape into a "sausage" about 2 inches thick, on a sheat of greaseproof paper dusted with confectioner's sugar Leave to dry in a cool place for at least 3 hours. Cut into slices and serve with whipped cream, sprinkled with a little cinnamon.
