ally's, chocolate, cinnamon, peanut butter and oatmeal candy!

About six or so years ago, I found a very simple candy recipe. I took the recipe and it's three ingredients, and through trial and error, made it my own! I really hope you like it! :D I've made it for all my friends and family, and they loved it!!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 6 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup butter, cold
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 8 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2 cups instant rolled oats
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon, ground
  • - powdered sugar (optional)

How To Make ally's, chocolate, cinnamon, peanut butter and oatmeal candy!

  • Step 1
    Place a large sheet of wax paper over the top of a 9x13 inch baking pan! Set aside.
  • Step 2
    In a small bowl. Combine, peanut butter and oats. Set aside.
  • Step 3
    In a medium sauce pan combine, sugar, cocoa, cold butter, cinnamon and milk. Stir continuously with a whisk over medium heat, until mix comes to a rolling boil.
  • Step 4
    Continue to stir boiling mix for 1min. (mix will smell like it's burning.) Remove from heat!
  • Step 5
    Stir in peanut butter and oats. (easier with a spoon, then a whisk)
  • Step 6
    Pour over wax paper, allowing the mix to settle to the bottom of the baking pan. (careful the mix is very very HOT!)
  • Step 7
    Refrigerate for 3 hours. Using the wax paper, carefully lift chocolate out of baking pan. (should come out in one piece.) Cut into squares, and enjoy!
  • Step 8
    NOTE: Refrigerate after cutting. (can be frozen and defrosted)
