This delicious "cake" was made for me one year on my birthday. For 40 years we have made this for all occasions--use the coloring that matches the holiday!

Ingredients

2 cups popcorn,
1 cup whippin cream-unwhipped
2 tablespoons butter
2/3 cup white corn syrup
2 cups sugar

How To Make yummy popcorn cake

Step 1

Cook all but popcorn to soft ball stage. Add pinch of soda and food color of your choice. Pour over popcorn that has been popped and placed in greased angel food pan. Press down, but don't crush. When cooled slightly invert on serving plate. You will probably have to scrape cake pan to get all the good syrup out!
