How to Make Yum Yum Rum Cake
- 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour one 10 inch Bundt pan. Sprinkle walnuts over the bottom of the pan.
- 2Mix together the yellow cake mix, 1/2 cup dark rum, eggs, 1/2 cup cold water, cooking oil and instant vanilla pudding. Pour batter over nuts.
- 3Bake at 325 degrees F for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean. Remove cake from oven once done LEAVE IN PAN! Poke holes into the cake so the glaze can soak in and set aside.
- 4To Make Glaze: Melt the butter in a saucepan. Stir in 1/8 cup water and sugar. Boil for 3-5 minutes, until dissolved stirring constantly. Remove mixture from heat and stir in rum. Drizzle over cake evenly and allow to sit at LEAST 2hrs before inverting onto a serving platter. Hope you enjoy!
