Thanks to GH for this wonderful idea - so many varieties to try it with and how much easier can it get than 3 base ingredients? U can go for an ice cream that has all the bells and whistles -like Rocky Road or Ben and Jerry's Phish Food and not have to add a thing ..or u can add up to one cup of 'bonus' goodies ..like peanut butter chips, diced apples dredged in cinnamon, blueberries, etc...or add 1 tsp of lemon zest to kick things up or 1/2 tsp of cinnamon to make things spicy ..or ..well u get the idea .. Any way u make it, its quick and easy! Enjoy!

Ingredients For your favorite ice cream is now ....cake!

  • 2 c
    "premium" (ie full fatted) ice cream of your choice-microwaved for 30 seconds
  • 1/2 c
    applesauce
  • 1 1/2 c
    self rising flour

How To Make your favorite ice cream is now ....cake!

    Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 loaf pan with baking spray.

    In a large bowl, stir ice cream and applesauce until smooth; stir in flour until just blended. Scoop into prepared pan.

    Bake 43 to 48 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack 10 minutes; invert loaf onto cooling rack. Serve warm or cool completely.
