  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix
  • 1 pkg
    3 oz vanilla instant pudding
  • 3/4 c
  • 3/4 c
  • 1/4 c
    white wine
  • 4
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar, light
  • 1/4 c
    white sugar
  • 2 tsp
  • 1/3 c
    finely chopped pecans

  • 1 stick
    butter, cold
  • 1 c
  • 1/4 c
  • 1/4 c
    white wine

How to Make Wine Cake


  1. Cake: Combine all ingredients except pecans. Mix well. Sprinkle pecans in bottom of greased & floured bundt pan. Pour in cake batter and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
  2. Glaze: Boil butter, sugar and water. Add wine and beat one minute only. Spoon 1/2 over hot cake in pan. Let stand 10 minutes. Place cake on plate and spoon remainder of glaze over cake.
  3. Freezes very well and is good refrigerated.
