This Wine Cake recipe is moist and delicious! It keeps well in the refrigerator for over a week and freezes well for months. Always a huge hit with friends!

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 package 3 oz vanilla instant pudding
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, light
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped pecans
  • GLAZE
  • 1 stick butter, cold
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup white wine

How To Make wine cake

  • Step 1
    Cake: Combine all ingredients except pecans. Mix well. Sprinkle pecans in bottom of greased & floured bundt pan. Pour in cake batter and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Glaze: Boil butter, sugar and water. Add wine and beat one minute only. Spoon 1/2 over hot cake in pan. Let stand 10 minutes. Place cake on plate and spoon remainder of glaze over cake.
  • Step 3
    Freezes very well and is good refrigerated.
