here is one that for thse who don't like fruit cake, I promise you will love this one. Everytime I have made this one I never have any left when taking it to a dinner at church.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups all purpose flour
  • 5 cups sugar
  • 2 cups butter
  • 12 - eggs well beaten
  • 1/2 cup grape juice
  • 3 tablespoons lemon extract
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tarter
  • 1 - large tub mixed fruit
  • 1 cup white raisins
  • 2 cups pecans, in pieces
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon pinch of salt

How To Make white fruit cake

  • Step 1
    Cream Butter, add sugar and cream until smoothh. Add eggs one at a time with the flour and soda,salt, by sifting it alternatley and by adding liguid and beat well. Add nuts and fruit and mix well. pour into a very large greased and floured strusal pan or reg. tube pan. Bake at 250 degrees for 2 1/2 - 3 hours.
  • Step 2
    Hint for your fruit and nuts. put them in a bag or bowl and add a little flour and litely coat all the fruit and nuts. ( called dreging your fruit).
