Deliciously creamy good! We needed a dessert for my daughters senior class picnic, so this was a trial run..and what a hit it was. You could add white chocolate chips also...I think they would work well in this. She wanted to leave them out...so we did. This would also be good with whatever your favorite pudding might be. I hope you try it, and love it as much as we did. My photo's

Ingredients

  • 2 - 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 - 8 ounce, sour cream
  • 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant white chocolate pudding, or vanillapudding mix
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream, whipped
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar ( optional )
  • 8 cups cubed, pound cake, i used all butter sarah lee pound cake
  • 4 cups fresh, sliced strawberries

How To Make white chocolate strawberry trifle - my way

  • Step 1
In a large bowl, beat the milk, sour cream, pudding mix and orange peel on low speed until thickened.
  • Step 2
Fold in whipped cream. ( This is where I tasted to see if sweet enough; I added about 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar and folded it in until well blended).
  • Step 3
Place half of the cake cubes in a 3-qt. glass bowl. Arrange a third of the strawberries around sides of bowl and over cake; top with half of the pudding mixture.
  • Step 4
Repeat layers once. Top with remaining berries. Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving. This is delicious, the orange peel enhanced the flavor of the strawberries. So good!
