warm blueberry cake
This blueberry cake is delicious. I love that you serve it warm. This is a recipe that I tweaked. It originally came from my husband’s Aunt Josephine. It has a sweet lemony crusty top. It is a very old fashioned and a simple cake to make. I hope you all enjoy it. :)

Ingredients
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1 1/3 cups light cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- the zest of 1 lemon
- 2 eggs
- TOPPING
- 1 pint blueberries
- 1/3 cup sugar
- the zest of 1/2- 1 whole lemon. use 1/2 for subtle flavor
How To Make warm blueberry cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 350°

Step 2Into a large bowl. Sift together the dry ingredients for cake. Stir to combine.

Step 3Add butter, cream, vanilla, and the zest of 1 lemon.

Step 4Beat until smooth. Add eggs. Continue to beat on medium high for 2 minutes.

Step 5Pour into greased 9x13 inch pan. Smooth batter evenly.

Step 6Mix ingredients for topping together.

Step 7Sprinkle topping over cake.

Step 8Place in preheated 350 degree oven. Bake in lower 3rd of oven for 40 min. Or until browned.

Step 9Cool 5 minutes before serving Note: best served warm
