  • 1 1/2 c plus 2 tablespoons Diamond of California walnuts
  • 1 1/2 c all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 c unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 c granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 c buttermilk
  • 1 c powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp water
