This is a very easy recipe and I use it when I need something on a short notice or I don't have anything for a potluck.
It is gone in a matter of hours when the grandkids are around.

Ingredients

  • 3 c
    flour
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    cocoa,
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    water, cold
  • 3/4 c
    vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    vinegar
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract

How to Make Wacky Cocoa Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, soda and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add water, oil, vinegar and vanilla. Beat 3 minutes with electric mixer at medium speed until thoroughly blended.
  4. Pour batter into a 13x9 greased and floured baking pan. Bake 35-40 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.
