This was a favorite recipe of my mothers. She called it a wacky cake because you do not use eggs or milk in the ingredients. Another reason she liked it so well is you only dirted up one pot and the baking pan to make it.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups self rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar

How To Make wacky cake

  • Step 1
    Pre-heat oven to 350.

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Frost in pan while cake is still warm.
  • Step 4
Frosting: Combine sugar, milk, butter and flour in small sauce pan. Cook on medium heat until thick, stirring as needed. Add coconut, nuts and vanilla, mix well and spread over warm cake.
